Stephen brings over 35 years of pharmaceutical industry experience developed across multiple disciplines, functions, and international business environments within AstraZeneca and through subsequent consultancy work supporting other organisations across the sector.
Beginning his career in laboratory analysis, Stephen progressed through operational, technical, quality, leadership, and strategic roles, gaining a broad understanding of how pharmaceutical organisations operate at both practical and business-critical levels.
Over the course of his career, Stephen became recognised for his ability to support complex operational and organisational challenges, often working within sensitive, high-pressure, or business-critical environments requiring discretion, balanced judgement, and practical leadership.
His experience includes supporting international operations and contributing to improvement initiatives across the UK, US, Asia, and Australia, including assignments focused on operational performance, regulatory readiness, remediation activity, process improvement, efficiency, and organisational support.
Stephen has worked within environments requiring careful navigation of regulatory expectations, operational risk, quality improvement, and post-inspection remediation activities, bringing a calm, practical, and solutions-focused approach to challenging situations.
